The Armenian Community Welfare Centre (ACWC) is delighted to announce that Willoughby City Council has approved funding for Willoughby Stories, a community heritage and storytelling project celebrating the people who have shaped our local community.
Willoughby Stories seeks to collect, document, and preserve the personal stories of individuals who have lived in or made significant contributions to the Willoughby area and the broader Australian community. Through professionally recorded interviews and digital storytelling, the project will capture the rich history, experiences, and achievements of community members, ensuring their stories are preserved for future generations.
The project reflects ACWC's commitment to strengthening community connections, celebrating cultural diversity, and preserving local heritage. By sharing these inspiring stories, Willoughby Stories will create a lasting digital archive that highlights the people whose lives have helped shape the identity of Willoughby.
The Armenian Community Welfare Centre sincerely thanks Willoughby City Council for its support and looks forward to working with local residents, community leaders, and organisations to bring these stories to life.
